Windows XP Service Pack 2

Microsoft has released their update to Windows XP and the improvements it makes on security and stability lead us to feel that installing it is a prerequisite for safe computing at UCI.  We have a Sharepoint site dedicated to sharing information about this update.  We will continue to post technical bulletins as we get them relating to installation of this product update.  NACS has found that each system has it's own unique experience when being upgraded, so being prepared for any problems is a wise idea.  The SP 2 update is posted on the NACS PC Archive (only available to staff and faculty du eto MS licensing issues).  Click here for more information on delivery of this update via Windows Update or Automatic Updates.
