Product Enhancement Advisory - RHEA-2004:267-08
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
Updated bison package fixes crash

An updated bison package that fixes a crash on some architectures when
given a certain input
syntax is now available.

Description:
Bison is a general purpose parser generator that converts a grammar
description for a LALR(1) context-free grammar into a C program for
parsing. Bison is used to develop a wide range of language parsers, from
ones used in simple desk calculators to complex programming languages.
Bison is upwardly compatible with Yacc, so any correctly written Yacc
grammar should work with Bison without any changes.

When given certain deprecated input syntax, bison could crash. This updated
package tightens some syntax requirements, and does not crash on any known
input.

All users of bison should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves
this issue.
