Summary:
Updated passwd package includes laus logging feature
An updated passwd package that generates audit records with laus installed
is now available.
Description:
The passwd package contains a system utility (passwd) which sets and/or
changes passwords, using PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules). To use
passwd, you should have PAM installed on your system.
With the laus package installed and auditing enabled, the passwd command
now generates audit records describing failed and successful attempts to
change user passwords.
Prior versions of the passwd program did not audit password change attempts.
All users of passwd should upgrade to this updated package, which
includes this feature.

You may address the issues outlined in this advisory in two ways:
- select your server name by clicking on its name from the list
available at the following location, and then schedule an
errata update for it:

Changing Notification Preferences
