Summary:
Updated cdrtools packages for Itanium and PowerPC
Updated cdrtools packages that fix CD burning on Itanium and DVD burning on
PowerPC are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.
Description:
Cdrecord is an application for recording audio and data CDs. Cdrecord
works with many different brands of CD recorders, fully supports
multi-sessions, and provides human-readable error messages.
Issuing a "blank and burn" at the command line resulted in SCSI errors.
This has been fixed.
DVD burning is now possible with this version. Users who encountered
problems with dvdrecord (known on PowerPC architectures), can now use
cdrecord to burn DVDs.
All users of cdrecord should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues.
