Connecting to UCInet Mobile Access with Windows NT4

VERY IMPORTANT: Before applying the following changes to your computer´s networking configuration, write down your current networking configuration!

NOTE: To use the UCI Mobile Access, you must first register your MAC (Media Access Control) address. You will need your UCInetID and password to authenticate.

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start Menu (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel).
  2. Double click on Network.
  3. Click on the Protocols tab (See Figure 1).
  4. Select TCP/IP Protocol, and click Properties.
    (Note: If you do not have the TCP/IP Protocol installed, you will have to add it by clicking on Add, then scroll down and select TCP/IP Protocol and click OK. You will need the Windows NT 4 CD).

  1. Click on the IP Address tab and choose Obtain an IP address from a DHCP Server  (See Figure 2).

  1. If a dialog box pops up, click on Yes (See Figure 3).

  3. Click on OK and restart your computer when prompted.
