What is DCSLIB?

DCSLIB is an NFS-mountable software library that allows UNIX systems at UCI to access many useful "free" programs and access to licensed software that many faculty and staff at UCI find useful. Access to DCSLIB is free, however some software requires a separate licensing fee.

What systems can use DCSLIB?

DCSLIB is currently available for the following architectures/operating systems:

Vendor Processor Operating system
HP/Compaq/Digital Alpha Tru64 4.0f and later
SGI R4000/R8000 IRIX v6.5.20m and later
Sun SPARC SunOS-5.7 and later
PC Intel Redhat Enterprise Linux release 3 or later

Licensed software

Some software, notably Matlab and AVS, require payment of licensing fees. Please contact NACS at nacs@uci.edu for more information.
